Background: Earlier this year I participated in a tag swap in the ATT yahoo group, organized by the amazing Pam, and received a finished canvas, which I mounted on a large frame. This one, remember:
Well, not long after that, a similar swap was organized on the EWV yahoo group, though this time we'd have to mount the tags ourselves. I followed the same template, and added some embellishments on the board as well as dangling some charms from the bottom. I also got the identical frame and finished it, not identically (don't want to be too matchy matchy), but similarly.
So, enough talk, here it is:
BTW, the little tag on the top right is mine.
I hung it near the ATT canvas and think they look fantastic together. This is a hallway wall, so I see these beauties whenever I move from room to room. Also, both are visible from the kitchen.
I can't wait for the next collaborative project to arrive.....a 5x7" canvas swap, which should be coming any time now. The completed collaborations I have are amongst my favorite pieces.
What a very nifty idea.
ReplyDeleteThere are some great tags on there and the overall design looks great. I was sorry not to have time to take part in this swap, maybe another time!!
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful. You did a great job coordinating them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea and such a nice way to show off everyone's beautiful work. Great memories too!
ReplyDeleteThese turned out wonderfully Eileen! I have my ATT one done and ready to hang but haven't gotten the EWV ones set up yet at all. I have to paint my family room in the near future and am going to change things around on the walls then, so will leave places for some art when I do.
ReplyDeleteLooks great, Eileen! I'm hoping to get mine assembled this weekend. Like you, the collaborative pieces are my favs - they reinforce, for me, the wonderful feeling of community.
ReplyDeleteNice job! Yes, catchy title!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, I was going to use the same title for my post, but realized it sounded a little strange. But I'm glad one of had big enough ones to put it up there...lol! 'Cause it is pretty darn funny. Love your frame, they look great! Ummm, do you have any wall space left?
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea, it looks absolutely terrific! I was trying to figure out a way to display my tags
