Happy Blogoversary To.......

......me!   Two years ago today, I began this blog, not having a clue what I was doing.  Some days I still feel that way, but at least now it doesn't take me all day to upload a photo.

I've also acquired a follower or two along the way, for which I am really grateful, and often surprised.  A little research tells me that the appropriate 2nd year anniversary gift is something made of cotton.   I don't work much with fabric, but I do enjoy making fabric brooches.

So, to celebrate the beginning of my third year of blogging, I am giving away some (haven't decided how many) of these (mostly cotton) brooches.  They have a tie tack on the back, and if you don't want to wear it on your lapel you can attach it to a tote bag, apron, or just stick it on a bulletin board.

Thanks so much for reading my blog, and I LOVE reading your comments, so I'll be picking people randomly to receive a happy blogoversary brooch.  Just leave a comment on this post (and include a way for me to contact you) and I'll pick some winners after the weekend.

What Is The Next Level?

The Next Level is the exciting new concept of Dawn (All Pink Girl) and Ann (Madgesty - Love to Create) probably better known as blog name Madge. Their aim in designing this new informative style of blog is not only to produce really creative Weekly Challenges that are not tied to any specific brand, but also to explore new avenues, ideas and techniques with a completely fresh approach.

Sound like something that would interest you? It does to me. I'm always looking for new ways to challenge myself, and I do already participate in many challenges. But this entices me with the promise of something new and fresh, and one in which I can grab ANYTHING from my stash, with no worries about sticking to one product, brand, or style.

And what are all those goodies in the photos above? Well, they are the giveaways to two lucky people on The Next Level's launch date -- June 1. So get on over there, become a follower, leave a comment, and/or blog about this yourself. Three ways to get in the running for those fabulous prize packages.

Oh, and they're looking for guest designers too!

My Blogoversary Giveaway

As promised, I am celebrating my one year of blogging with a jewelry giveaway. These pictures are representative of what I've been doing with my Tim Holtz Idea-ology bits and pieces, as well as anything metal I find that catches my eye. One of the three above is going to a friend, but the other two are up for grabs. And I may get another one or two made in the next few days. I'm giving away at least the two. More if enough people stop by. So, if you'd like a chance to win, just leave a comment on this entry only. I'll give you all until Sunday, when I'll announce the winners. If you don't think you'll remember to check back, make sure you include your email address in your comment.

Thanks for your interest, and come back Sunday morning to see who won.
