I made this bracelet a while ago, as a sample for a class that never happened. Am reminded of it now, because the other day, while visiting my friend Teri, I showed her how to make one. I unashamedly stole borrowed was inspired by a Tim Holtz design. Last December, some lucky blogger who went to Tim's annual Holiday Hideaway, posted a photo of a bracelet they did and I fell in love.
It's just a length of Tim's chain (with the very cool toggle closure), and bunches of buttons, attached with jump rings. Add a charm or five, some idea-ology pieces, and you have a beautiful one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art. I stuck to neutrals in my button selection, but don't see why color wouldn't work too.
Teri told me about a very interesting technique involving CitraSolv cleanser and a National Geographic magazine. I even went home with supplies, but haven't had the chance to experiment yet. Have a feeling that will be another blog post.....soon.
Have a great weekend, and make art!

Awesome work, love it! Another thing to add to the "to do" list, lol. I have seen that citra-solv tutorial on several blogs, Roni Johnson's, for one, but have not tried it. I'll be anxious to see how it turns out for you.

Hi Eileen -
Love this bracelet. I've been itching to make one of these and have to find the time to sit and putter for a bit. I really like the way yours came out!
