Creative Exploration to Canada & New England - St. John & Tim Time

No sightseeing pictures of St. John; as I mentioned, I didn't get off the ship at this port, but had a great time in the studio working on my journal and chatting with new friends there.
Bonus for those who stayed on board today....a big BBQ on Deck 11 by the pool.  Ribs, burgers, hot dogs, oh my.
At 3:00pm we ambled into the classroom for Tim Time, basically a Q&A, and Tim answered everyone's questions with his usual openness and humor.

What did I learn about Tim?  For one thing, he does NOT consider himself to be an artist (silly man!).  He said he thinks of himself as a creative person who crafts.
Someone asked how he felt about people learning things from him and then going on to teach those things in their own classes.  Don't remember his exact words, but basically he told us to go forth and share.  Very classy and generous guy.
Lori, Pat, and I had been wondering when we would make an appearance in our tiaras.  You do remember I said we'd made tiaras, don't you?  It was Lori who figured out that Tim Time would be the perfect venue for this grand unveiling.

Our handiwork was well received, and even Tim got a kick out of them.  (I actually overheard him say, "how adorable."  I really did.)
For several days, Tim had been hinting that Tim Time was something we shouldn't miss, even though it wasn't an actual class.  Here's why.......everyone received a brand new die (Raven/Scardy Cat) and embossing folders  (Snow Flurries/Snowman#3)!
Then....Tim showed us that he had brought his own personal Vagabond, and that it would be in the studio for our use for the remainder of the cruise.  You could hear gasping everywhere.

Speaking of getting things for free, and since I don't have any sightseeing photos to share today, I thought this might be a good time to show you why cruisers are advised to bring an extra suitcase when they travel with Tim.  Here is most of what we received  FOR FREE during the cruise:

Tomorrow, Halifax....lots of pictures.....we were on a 7 hour excursion!
**Real time update....the first of my two Lynne Perrella workshops was awesome!  When I'm finished with the cruise blogs I'll have more to share on that.  Another one today.  Cool! **

Ok, I finally get to see the famed tiaras!!! And you girls look like fairy princesses indeed, with your charming prince above your heads. I see you came home with lots of treasure from your journey, too. (I hope you didn't encounter any evil stepmothers along the way!)

That photo of Tim addressing us summed up the confident and casual nature of his teaching techniques. No stress and lots of guidance and good energy. And the goodies and surprises certainly put us all in a wonderful mood. This Tiara Princess was thrilled to be creating in Tim's wonderful world.
